The British government faces growing scrutiny after revelations that thousands of Afghans have been resettled in the U.K. through a covert operation concealed under a “superinjunction” for over two years. Independent journalist Callum Darragh, speaking on The Ezra Levant Show, condemned the decision, calling it an act of betrayal by political leaders who prioritized foreign interests over national security.
Darragh highlighted that the plan, justified by the Defence Ministry as a safeguard against Taliban retaliation, has kept Afghans’ identities hidden from public and parliamentary scrutiny. “The two major parties colluded to undermine the native population,” he alleged, accusing officials of acting against the country’s best interests. The journalist criticized the government for secretly transporting thousands of military-aged Afghan males into the U.K., a move he described as reckless given their purported views on gender, crime, and morality.
Ezra Levant echoed these concerns, citing data showing Afghans in Europe commit crimes at rates up to 40 times higher than local populations. He condemned the resettlement effort as an “unwise” decision that risks destabilizing British society. The lifting of the superinjunction revealed potential resettlement numbers reaching 20,000, with costs estimated to run into billions of pounds.
The controversy has sparked outrage among critics who argue the government prioritized ideological agendas over public safety, leaving citizens in the dark about a policy that could reshape the nation’s social fabric.
